About the Role
A Multi-Speciality Hospital is looking for skilled and dedicated Operation Theatre (OT) Staff to join its surgical services team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining a safe, sterile, and efficient operating theatre environment while supporting surgeons, anaesthetists, and nursing teams during surgical procedures.
Candidates with experience as OT Technicians, OT Assistants, Scrub Staff, or Surgical Technicians in hospital settings are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain operation theatres before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons, anaesthetists, and OT nurses during surgeries.
- Ensure availability and proper arrangement of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Assist in handling surgical instruments and supplies during procedures.
- Check and maintain OT equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Coordinate with CSSD for sterilized instruments and consumables.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with OT protocols.
- Assist in patient preparation and transfer as required.
Eligibility Criteria/Education
- Diploma / Degree in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT)
- B.Sc. Operation Theatre Technology
- Certificate in OT Technology
- Relevant healthcare qualification with OT experience
Experience
- 1–5 years of experience in an Operation Theatre setting preferred.
- Freshers with OT Technology qualifications may also apply.
Preferred Experience
Experience in:
- General Surgery
- Orthopaedic Surgery
- Laparoscopic Surgery
- Obstetrics & Gynaecology OT
- Emergency & Trauma OT
- Multi-Speciality Hospital OT Operations
will be an advantage.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of OT procedures and surgical protocols.
