Job description:
Chasing Illusions Studio is looking for a skilled VFX Compositor & Video Editor who can work on both 3D animation videos and regular digital film/video editing projects.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of After Effects, Premiere Pro, Nuke, and should be comfortable handling complete post-production work — from editing, compositing, cleanup, motion graphics, color correction, and final output.
We are looking for someone who can work on high-quality visual content including 3D animation films, product videos, corporate films, safety training videos, explainer videos, digital ads, reels, and cinematic video edits.
Key Responsibilities:
Edit regular video content such as corporate films, digital ads, reels, interviews, documentaries, and promotional videos.
Composite 3D animation renders with backgrounds, live footage, graphics, effects, and final polish.
Work on green screen keying, rotoscopy, cleanup, tracking, matte painting, and visual effects integration.
Create motion graphics, titles, supers, transitions, and basic design animations.
Handle color correction, grading, sound syncing, and final video exports.
Work closely with the 3D animation, design, and production team to complete projects as per creative direction.
Understand the project brief and convert raw footage or rendered sequences into a polished final video.
Maintain proper file organization, project backups, and delivery formats.
Required Skills:
Strong working knowledge of:
Adobe After Effects
Adobe Premiere Pro
Nuke
Photoshop / Illustrator knowledge will be a plus
Good understanding of compositing 3D renders, passes, alpha, shadows, reflections, lighting, depth, and final integration.
Experience in regular video editing for brands, corporate films, reels, and digital content.
Knowledge of color correction, basic sound editing, motion graphics, and final delivery formats.
Ability to work under deadlines and take creative feedback positively.
Good visual sense, attention to detail, and understanding of cinematic composition.
Preferred Experience
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in video editing, compositing, or post-production.
Experience working with 3D animation studios, production houses, advertising agencies, or digital content teams will be preferred.
Candidate should have a strong showreel or portfolio of editing and compositing work.
Work Type
Full-time or project-based depending on the candidate’s skill level and availability.
Trial assignment or trial period may be given before final confirmation.
Salary / Compensation
Salary will be discussed based on experience, skill level, portfolio, and working arrangement.
