About the Role
We are looking for an Interior Design Intern with good AutoCAD knowledge to join our design team.
This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to understand how interior design moves from concept and space planning to detailed drawings and execution. The intern will work closely with our interior designers and gain practical exposure to real residential projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the interior design team in preparing AutoCAD drawings and working drawings.
- Prepare and modify plans, furniture layouts, elevations, sections and detailed drawings.
- Assist with space planning and furniture layouts.
- Develop detailed drawings based on the designer's concepts and requirements.
- Assist in preparing ceiling plans, flooring layouts, wall elevations and other interior details.
- Make revisions to drawings based on feedback from designers and site requirements.
- Help maintain organised drawing files and drawing sets.
- Coordinate with the design team to understand dimensions, materials and construction details.
- Visit project sites when required and understand how drawings are translated into actual execution.
- Assist with basic material, furniture and finish selections where required.
- Learn and understand interior detailing, construction methods and execution requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field.
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD is essential.
- Basic understanding of interior drawings and dimensions.
- Good understanding of plans, elevations and sections.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good sense of design and proportion.
- Willingness to learn and take feedback.
- Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of SketchUp, Photoshop, 3D software or other design tools will be an advantage, but is not mandatory.

Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is technically strong in AutoCAD, eager to learn, detail-oriented and genuinely interested in interior design.
