SAP Basis administrators with 7 + years' experience including SAP systems Optimization , Systems fine tuning , system refresh , OS/DB upgrade , SAP SPS upgrade/ Version upgrade ,SAP Cloud migration, Solution Manager configuration and administration, Batch jobs /Jobs/Printers administration, SSO implementations.
Solution manager configuration and administration, Manage system configuration, OCC setup,
HANA DB /Oracle and MAXDB/ Sybase DB administration.
UNIX administration as SAP Basis admin.
Good to have - SAP RISE experience
Job Summary : We are seeking a skilled SAP HANA Database Administrator to manage and maintain our SAP HANA databases, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery in an AWS environment. OS DB Migration, SAP Upgrade. SAP Basis Consultant must have 8-10 years extensive experience with SAP HANA, AWS cloud services, and a strong background in database administration. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience as an SAP Basis Administrator on SAP HANA and S/4 HANA, including 2-3 years in public or private cloud (Azure or AWS).
Key Responsibilities :
Client Facing : Candidate must have direct client facing experience single handedly with strong communication as per onsite role
Database Management: Administer, manage, and maintain SAP HANA databases.
Performance Tuning: Perform database tuning and performance monitoring to ensure optimal performance.
High Availability: Implement and manage high availability solutions for SAP HANA databases on AWS.
Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures, ensuring data integrity and availability.
Backup and Recovery: Handle backup and recovery operations, including lifecycle management
Collaboration: Work closely with IT project managers, database programmers, and other IT staff to support SAP systems.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures.
24/7 Support: Provide 24/7 support for critical database issues and manage crisis situations.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP Basis tasks, including installations, configurations, upgrades, OS/DB migrations, and Unicode conversions.
Cloud Expertise: Strong knowledge of cloud services and infrastructure.
Operating Systems: Familiarity with UNIX/ Linux operating systems and networking connectivity required for the SAP environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. To be responsible for providing technical guidance / solutions ;define, advocate, and implement best practices and coding standards for the team.
2. To develop and guide the team members in enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity
3. To ensure process compliance in the assigned module| and participate in technical discussions/review as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations).
4. To prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure and risks on the project or closure of escalations.
