Role Overview
The Student Grievance Redressal Officer will be responsible for addressing and resolving student concerns related to academic and campus life issues. The role involves counselling students, maintaining proper records of grievances, coordinating with relevant departments, and supporting the academic office with reports and documentation related to student concerns.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle and resolve student grievances in a timely and confidential manner.
- Counsel students on academic, emotional, behavioural, and day-to-day issues faced during college life.
- Guide students towards appropriate support systems and solutions.
- Maintain records and documentation of grievances, counselling sessions, and resolutions.
- Coordinate with faculty, administration, and other departments for issue resolution.
- Assist the Academic Office in preparing reports, summaries, and data related to student grievances and disciplinary matters.
- Monitor recurring student concerns and suggest preventive measures or improvements.
- Ensure a safe, supportive, and student-friendly environment on campus.
- Support student well-being initiatives, awareness sessions, and engagement activities when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Human Resources, or related field.
- Strong counselling and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive matters with empathy and confidentiality.
- Good report-writing and documentation skills.
- Strong coordination and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic reporting tools.
Preferred Qualities
- Senior professional with extensive experience in student counselling, grievance redressal, student welfare, or academic administration.
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in educational institutions, universities, colleges, or student support functions.
- Strong counselling, conflict-resolution, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive student matters with empathy, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Excellent documentation, reporting, and coordination abilities.
- Capable of mentoring students and providing guidance on academic, emotional, and behavioural concerns.
Pay: From ₹40,000.00 per month
