We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical inventory management executive to oversee our inventory plans. The successful candidate will ensure forward-looking inventory forecasts, accuracy in inventory records, optimisation of storage, reduction in product returns or damages, and coordination with procurement, business development, finance, and warehouse teams to prevent stockouts and slow- or non-moving or excess inventory. The goal is to maximise inventory turns and improve working capital management.
1. Inventory Monitoring & Control:
Generate future-looking demand forecasts, working along with other team members and the brand, past performance, market opportunities, etc
Track daily/weekly/monthly sales, inventory, and demand trends at all stages of the supply chain.
Define and manage the inventory procurement budget to ensure optimal cash flow
Define safety stock policies and plan inventory in coordination with brands and internal supply chain/finance teams to maintain optimal inventory levels on shelf/in-channel and reduce excess or obsolete stock/monitor product returns/removals.
Develop backup strategies to protect the business against supply chain disruptions
2. Reporting & Insights
Deliver meaningful, data-driven reports on inventory health, turnover rates, operations, etc. to identify trends, issues, and opportunities
Define KPIs and build dashboards and insights that support decision-making.
Track supplier delivery times to adjust reorder points and maintain supply chain resilience
Maintain precise, up-to-date records of inventory transactions, deliveries, and shipments.
Identify bottlenecks in warehouse and supply chain operations, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of process improvements
Conduct regular physical inventory counts to reconcile discrepancies between system records and physical inventory.
Ensure all inventory storage adheres to company policies, security policies, and contractual obligations.
Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in inventory management, warehouse control, or logistics.
Proficiency in inventory management software/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and strong MS Excel skills.
Solid understanding of commercial processes such as order management, billing, and basic financial concepts, etc.
Working knowledge of the Amazon ecosystem, other marketplaces, and D2C websites
Excellent analytical, data analysis, and forecasting abilities.
Highly detail-oriented with exceptional communication, organisational and time-management skills.
High ownership, accountability, problem-solving ability, and comfort working in a fast-moving distribution setup.
Experience in warehousing, distribution, logistics/supply chain, and cross-border operations
Exposure to e-commerce, marketplaces, B2B, and D2C brand operations
Experience handling high-value or international clients
