Role: RCC Subcontractor — Shuttering, Reinforcement & Concreting
Objective: To execute reinforced cement concrete (RCC) works at HDG project sites — covering all three processes of shuttering, reinforcement, and concreting — as per structural drawings, specifications, and quality standards within agreed timelines and rates.
Context: HDG invites experienced RCC subcontractors for its ongoing and upcoming government, institutional, and infrastructure projects across Gurugram, NCR, and Leh, Ladakh. The subcontractor will be responsible for complete RCC execution including formwork, bar bending and binding, and concrete placement for foundations, columns, beams, slabs, retaining walls, and other structural elements. Works will be executed under the supervision of HDG's site engineers and Project Manager as per CPWD specifications, structural drawings, and IS codes.
Scope of Work:
Process 1 — Shuttering: Supply of skilled shuttering carpenters and necessary labour for complete formwork operations. Fabrication, erection, and striking of formwork for foundations, columns, beams, slabs, staircases, retaining walls, and other RCC elements. Arrangement and maintenance of shuttering materials — plates, props, soldiers, walers, and accessories — unless specified otherwise in the work order. Ensure proper alignment, levels, and plumb of formwork as per drawing dimensions before concreting. Striking of shuttering as per specified deshuttering periods and IS code requirements.
Process 2 — Reinforcement: Supply of skilled bar benders, bar cutters, and necessary labour for complete reinforcement operations. Bar bending, cutting, and binding of reinforcement steel as per approved bar bending schedules (BBS) and structural drawings. Ensure correct placement, cover blocks, spacers, and lap lengths as per drawing and specifications. Coordinate with site engineer for steel delivery, stacking, and issue from stores. Ensure wastage control and proper utilization of steel as per BBS.
Process 3 — Concreting: Supply of skilled mazdoors, vibrator operators, and necessary labour for complete concreting operations. Placing, compacting, and finishing of concrete using mechanical vibrators as per mix design and structural requirements. Coordinate with site team for RMC or site-mixed concrete scheduling, pouring sequence, and curing operations. Ensure proper curing of all RCC elements for specified periods as per IS codes and CPWD specifications. Maintain concreting records — pour cards, cube test records, and slump test data — in coordination with the site quality team.
Additional Responsibilities: Maintain adequate skilled and unskilled workforce strength at site to meet project schedules. Coordinate daily with HDG site engineers and project manager for work planning and execution. Ensure all workmen comply with site safety rules, PPE requirements, and HDG safety protocols at all times. Provide labour deployment reports, daily progress updates, and workforce attendance records to the site team. Maintain tools, equipment, and shuttering materials in good working condition throughout the contract period. Ensure zero damage to existing structures, utilities, and adjacent works during RCC operations.
Commercial Terms: Work will be awarded on item rate or lump sum basis as per agreed BOQ and rate schedule. Running account (RA) bills will be processed on certified quantities as per joint measurements. Materials — cement, steel, aggregates, water, admixtures — will be supplied by HDG unless specified otherwise in work order. Subcontractor to arrange all labour, tools, tackles, shuttering material, and minor equipment required for execution. Payment will be released as per mutually agreed billing cycle subject to quality certification and measurement approval.
Notes: Interested subcontractors must have a proven track record of executing RCC works on government or institutional projects. Must be capable of deploying a minimum workforce of 25–50 skilled workers per site at short notice. Experience of working in high-altitude conditions for the Leh project will be strongly preferred. Subcontractor must comply with all labour law requirements — PF, ESIC, labour licences — for deployed workforce. Prior empanelment or experience working with CPWD Class 1A contractors will be given preference. Interested parties may visit the project site before submitting their rates.
