Office & You (O&Y) is the uniform and workwear division of Varija Lifestyles Pvt. Ltd. As we expand our uniforms business, we are looking for a skilled Merchandiser who can drive product development, sourcing, client coordination, and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Hospitality Uniform Merchandising
- Handle end-to-end merchandising of hospitality uniform projects.
- Understand client requirements and recommend suitable uniform solutions.
- Coordinate with design, production, and sourcing teams for product development.
- Manage uniform programs for hotels, restaurants, cafes, resorts, hospitals, and corporate clients.
- Ensure timely execution of orders from sampling to final delivery.
Client Coordination & Business Development
- Coordinate with existing hospitality clients regarding requirements, approvals, and order status.
- Develop relationships with hotel groups, restaurant chains, and hospitality brands.
- Assist in generating new business opportunities within the hospitality sector.
- Conduct presentations and product discussions with prospective clients.
Sourcing & Vendor Management
- Source fabrics, trims, and accessories suitable for hospitality uniforms.
- Coordinate with vendors for fabric developments, sampling, and production.
- Negotiate pricing and maintain target margins.
- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain vendor databases.
Costing & Order Management
- Prepare product costing and quotations.
- Track order progress and ensure adherence to delivery timelines.
- Coordinate production planning and inventory requirements.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the process.
Market Research
- Stay updated with hospitality uniform trends, fabric innovations, and competitor offerings.
- Research new opportunities in hotels, restaurants, healthcare, aviation, and corporate uniform sectors.
- Identify innovative fabrics and product solutions suitable for hospitality environments.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of hospitality and corporate uniforms.
- Understanding of garment manufacturing and fabric applications.
- Experience in client handling and project coordination.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Knowledge of costing, quotations, and order management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and ERP systems (preferred).
Candidate Profile
- MBA in Marketing preferred.
- 3–6 years of experience in hospitality uniforms, corporate uniforms, workwear, or garment merchandising.
- Experience working with uniform manufacturers, hospitality uniform brands, or apparel companies serving the hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of hospitality client requirements and service standards.
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects and client accounts.
