Job Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain security measures and controls to protect digital systems and sensitive data.
Perform risk assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities in the hardware, software, and networks.
Monitor security access and conduct regular system tests to identify any irregularities and possible weaknesses.
Respond promptly to security incidents and breaches, conducting a thorough investigation to resolve the issues.
Develop and update the organization’s disaster recovery and business continuity plans for information systems.
Educate and train staff on information security standards, best practices, and threat awareness.
Skills:
Proficiency with programming languages commonly used in security context, such as Python, C++, Java, or Ruby.
Familiarity with various information security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and cybersecurity laws and regulations.
Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools.
Strong understanding of the latest trends and techniques in cybersecurity, such as advanced persistent threat management.
Knowledge of network and web related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS, routing protocols).
Ability to communicate complex security issues in an understandable and non-technical manner.
MUST HAVE:
- 3–5 years hands-on SOAR engineering experience (not analyst/operator)
- Built custom Python integrations against real APIs — not just configured existing connectors
- Built complete playbooks from scratch — end-to-end, not minor modifications
- SOAR platform administration experience (RBAC, health monitoring, upgrades)
- Cortex XSOAR strongly preferred
PRIORITIZE IF:
- Hands-on Cortex XSOAR experience
- Multi-platform SOAR exposure — indicates adaptability
- Security operations environment background (SOC, detection, threat intel)
