Job Summary
The Assistant Steward is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service by ensuring prompt, courteous, and efficient food and beverage service in accordance with the hotel's service standards. The role involves maintaining cleanliness, supporting restaurant operations, and contributing to an outstanding dining experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests courteously and assist them with seating.
- Present menus and provide accurate information about food and beverage offerings.
- Take guest orders and ensure timely, accurate service.
- Serve food and beverages following established service standards.
- Set up tables before service and clear tables promptly after use.
- Ensure proper mise-en-place before each shift.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the restaurant, service stations, and dining areas.
- Refill water, condiments, and guest requirements as needed.
- Coordinate effectively with the kitchen and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Handle guest requests and complaints professionally, escalating concerns when necessary.
- Ensure all crockery, cutlery, glassware, and equipment are clean and well maintained.
- Follow hotel policies, food safety, hygiene, and grooming standards at all times.
- Assist in buffet setups, banquets, and special events whenever required.
- Support inventory control by reporting breakages, shortages, or damaged equipment.
- Perform opening, closing, and side duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Pay: ₹16,500.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
