We are looking for an experienced Sales Techno-Commercial Manager with a strong background in the Paints, Coatings, Inks, and Construction Chemicals industry. The candidate should possess both technical and commercial expertise and be capable of driving business growth through product development, sourcing, and customer relationship management.
Technical & Business Development Responsibilities
- Strong experience in specialty chemicals used in Paints, Coatings, Inks, and Construction Chemicals.
- Ability to develop and promote specialty products similar to:
o BYK additives
o DOW VAGH grades
o Other specialty resins, additives, and performance chemicals
- Experience in developing business opportunities for imported products such as HEC QP-100MH and similar highly speciality products for which we should get the exclusivity
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with overseas manufacturers and suppliers from:
o Europe
o USA
o Japan
o China
o South Korea
o Other global specialty chemical producers
- Exposure to companies such as Mitsubishi, Eastman, Perstorp, LG and other leading specialty chemical manufacturers will be preferred.
- Ability to create exclusive sourcing arrangements and develop new product opportunities for the Indian market.
Sales & Commercial Responsibilities
- Generate sales and procure orders from customers across India.
- Achieve sales targets and business growth objectives.
- Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain healthy receivables.
- Visit customers regularly on a Pan-India basis to develop and strengthen business relationships.
- Understand customer requirements and provide suitable technical and commercial solutions.
- Resolve customer complaints and technical/commercial queries effectively.
- Gather demand forecasts and projected requirements from customers.
- Build long-term relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare and submit Daily, Monthly, and Quarterly Sales Reports.
- Maintain and present Management Information System (MIS) reports.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and new business opportunities.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and management teams to ensure smooth execution of business operations.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or related field (preferred).
- 4–5+ years of relevant experience in Paints, Coatings, Inks, Construction Chemicals, or Specialty Chemicals industry.
- Strong technical understanding of additives, resins, cellulose ethers, and specialty chemical applications.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India.
- Strong sourcing and international supplier development capabilities.
