What We're Looking For
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive business growth, generate new opportunities, build strong industry relationships, and expand Ensafe's market presence across industrial and institutional sectors.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of industrial project sales, environmental engineering solutions, and consultative selling. The role requires extensive field engagement, networking, relationship management, and end-to-end ownership of the sales cycle.
What You Will Own and Do1. Business Development & Lead Generation
· Generate new project leads through consultants, PMCs, architects, developers, industrial associations, and professional networks.
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with:
o MEP Consultants
o HVAC Consultants
o Utility Consultants
o Environmental Consultants
o Industrial Advisors
o Project Management Consultants (PMCs)
· Identify upcoming industrial and institutional projects requiring environmental infrastructure and compliance solutions.
· Create and execute regional business development strategies to achieve sales growth.
2. Industry Coverage & Market Development
Drive business opportunities across the following sectors:
· Food Processing
· Pharmaceuticals
· Chemicals
· Paper & Packaging
· Solar & Renewable Energy
· Engineering Goods
· Industrial Machinery
· Boilers & Utilities

3. Sales & Project Management
· Manage the complete sales lifecycle from lead generation to order closure.
· Conduct client meetings, requirement gathering, and technical discussions.
· Coordinate with engineering and technical teams for solution development.
· Prepare and present techno-commercial proposals.
· Negotiate pricing, contractual terms, and commercial agreements.
· Ensure timely follow-up and closure of opportunities.
· Support project handover and client onboarding post-sales.
· Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
4. CRM, Reporting & Forecasting
· Maintain an accurate CRM database and sales pipeline.
· Track all leads, opportunities, quotations, and customer interactions.
· Submit periodic MIS reports to management.
· Prepare sales forecasts and business projections.
· Monitor consultant engagement activities and project progress updates.
5. Market Expansion & Strategic Growth
· Conduct market intelligence and competitor analysis.
· Identify emerging industrial clusters and business opportunities across assigned territories.
· Build strategic partnerships with consultants, industry bodies, and key stakeholders.
· Explore opportunities for cross-selling and upselling environmental solutions.
· Represent the company at exhibitions, seminars, trade fairs, and industry events.
6. Travel & Client Engagement
· Travel extensively (up to 75%) for:
o Client meetings
o Consultant visits
o Site inspections
o Project discussions
o Business development activities
· Build long-term customer relationships to drive repeat business and referrals.

QualificationsEducational Qualification
· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, Civil, Electrical) preferred.
· MBA in Marketing, Sales, Business Development, or related field will be an added advantage.
Experience
· 8–12 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Project Sales, Technical Sales, or Industrial Solution Sales.
· Experience in environmental engineering, EPC projects, water treatment, wastewater treatment, utilities, or industrial infrastructure will be highly preferred.
