1. Lens Fitting Knowledge
o Strong understanding of manual and machine-based fitting processes.
2. Types of Fittings
o Ability to work with rimless, half-rim, full-frame, and nylon fittings.
3. Lens & Frame Knowledge
o Familiarity with all types of lenses (CR-39, Polycarbonate, Trivex, Bifocal,
Progressive) and compatible frame materials.
4. Sunglasses Fitting
o Skill in handling curved, tinted, and polarized lenses with precision.
5. Machine Maintenance
o Routine care and basic troubleshooting of key lab machines (edger,
heater, drill, etc.).
6. Bifocal & Progressive Lens Fitting
o Proper segment height alignment and corridor marking.
o Understanding of adaptation requirements.
7. Experience
o Prior hands-on work and understanding of fitting volume and store/lab
coordination.
8. Fitting Height & PD Measurement
o Accurate measurement and application for optimal vision correction.
9. Frame Shape Knowledge
o Understanding frame designs and their impact on lens cutting and fitting.
10. Technical Skills
o Proficiency in tools, machines, and handling delicate tasks with
precision.
11.Non-Adaptation Issue Handling
o Ability to identify and resolve customer discomfort related to lenses or Fitting
