HR Executive acting as an HR Generalist. The role is hands-on, focusing on end-to-end recruitment, building the following from scratch - payroll processing, statutory compliance (PF, ESIC), leave management, and fostering a positive company culture.
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Hiring: Draft job descriptions, source candidates via platforms like Naukri.com, and conduct initial screenings.
- Onboarding: Manage joining formalities, issue offer/appointment letters, and conduct new-hire orientations.
2. Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Payroll: Process monthly attendance, calculate leaves, and coordinate payroll inputs for timely salary disbursements.
- Benefits: Administer employee benefits such as health insurance (mediclaim) and performance incentives.
3. Statutory Compliance (India-Specific)
- Labor Laws: Ensure company policies align with Indian labor regulations.
- Statutory Deductions: Coordinate with tax and finance consultants to ensure timely deposit of Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESIC), and Professional Tax (PT).
4. Performance & Employee Relations
- Appraisals: Coordinate annual and mid-year performance review cycles.
- Grievance Resolution: Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving interpersonal conflicts and answering policy queries.
5. HR Administration & Culture
- Policies: Draft and update the company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and employee handbooks.
- Engagement: Organize team-building activities and events to maintain high morale and retention.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on HR experience in an SME. Added advantage if you have worked in Surat.
- Education: A Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resources or a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM).
- Skills: Strong empathy skills; very good listener,
