Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Lead Buyer with 16+ years of procurement and sourcing experience to lead purchasing activities, supplier management, and strategic sourcing initiatives. The incumbent will be responsible for driving cost optimization, ensuring timely procurement of materials and services, developing supplier relationships, and supporting business growth through efficient procurement practices.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement & Sourcing

Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with organizational objectives.

Lead procurement activities for direct and indirect materials, equipment, and services.

Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement value engineering initiatives.

Conduct market analysis to monitor pricing trends, supply risks, and industry developments.
Supplier Management

Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and onboard suppliers/vendors.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.

Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and implement improvement plans.

Ensure supplier compliance with quality, delivery, sustainability, and contractual requirements.
Contract & Commercial Management

Lead commercial negotiations to achieve the best value for the organization.

Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts and service agreements.

Mitigate procurement risks through effective contract management practices.
Stakeholder Collaboration

Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Finance, and Project teams to understand procurement requirements.

Support new product development and project procurement activities.

Ensure alignment between procurement strategies and business objectives.
Process Improvement & Compliance

Drive procurement process improvements and digital transformation initiatives.

Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and regulatory requirements.

Develop procurement metrics, dashboards, and performance reports.

Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
Team Leadership

Mentor and guide procurement team members.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.

MBA or Master's degree preferred.

16+ years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing, or Supply Chain Management.

Experience managing high-value procurement categories and supplier networks.
