Join our team as a Senior Associate, where you'll work at the forefront of India's energy transition.
This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with government agencies, utilities, and leading experts to develop innovative solutions for integrating renewable energy, strengthening the transmission network, and planning the power system of the future.
This is a two-year fixed-term contract with the opportunity to work on high-impact national and state-level projects in the power sector.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute power system planning studies –
- Generation, Transmission and Distribution network
- Interacting with state power sector officials in collecting the data pertaining to the planning studies.
- Develop technical reports, policy briefs,presentations, and project deliverables.
- Present research findings and recommendations to the senior management and stakeholders.
- Guide junior team members and provide technical mentoring throughout project execution.
- Prepare concept notes, project ideas, and proposals centered on pertinent topics, taking into account their societal implications and applicability.
Skill Set
- Hands on experience in power system transmission network planning studies
- Experience in load flow, short circuit and transient stability studies
- Understanding on renewable energy grid integration studies
- Understanding the operational aspects of generation, transmission and distribution of power.
- Document and publish the research findings in detailed reports, journals and conferences, op-eds, newsletters.
- Willingness to undertake technical and policy research in power sector.
- Willingness to travel for collecting the data and present the study results to utilities.
- Hands on experience with power flow analysis software (DigSILENT, PSS/E,ETAP, MiPower, CYME, etc.)
- Understanding in Python programming is a plus
Qualifications
- BE/ME in relevant field (Electrical Engineering/Electrical & Electronics Engineering/Power Systems)
Experience
- At least 5-6 years of hands-on experience in executing transmission and distribution planning studies.
- Experience in publishing the reports, journals, research papers, op-eds, etc.
Duration
24 months
Pay: ₹900,000.00 - ₹1,600,000.00 per year
