About the Role
Vinod Products is seeking a skilled and customer-focused In-Field Electrical Appliance Engineer to join our service team in Patiala. In this role, you will be responsible for visiting customer locations to diagnose, repair, and maintain home electrical appliances. You will serve as the primary technical point of contact for resolving customer complaints quickly and efficiently while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- On-Site Diagnosis & Repair: Travel to customer residences and commercial locations within Patiala and nearby regions to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical appliances.
- Complaint Resolution: Address and resolve customer complaints efficiently, minimizing repeat issues and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Component Replacement: Replace defective parts, perform wiring repairs, and execute routine maintenance using proper tools and replacement components.
- Service Documentation: Maintain accurate records of field visits, diagnosed issues, parts used, customer feedback, and job completion reports.
- Customer Support & Guidance: Explain technical issues to customers in a clear, polite manner, and provide advice on safe, proper appliance usage and care.
- Inventory Management: Track spare parts stock in your service kit and coordinate with the inventory team for timely reordering.
Key Requirements
- Education: Diploma or ITI certification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field (Vocational training in appliance repair is a plus).
- Experience: 1–3 years of proven experience as a field service technician or engineer handling home electrical appliances.
- Technical Skills: Sound knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring, diagnostic tools (multimeters, clamp meters), and safety protocols.
- Location & Mobility: Must be based in or near Patiala, hold a valid driver's license, and have a personal vehicle (two-wheeler) for local travel.
- Language & Communication: Fluency in Punjabi and Hindi. Good customer handling and problem-solving skills.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Average resolution time per customer complaint.
- First-time fix rate (FTFR).
- Customer satisfaction rating (CSAT).
- On-time arrival rate for scheduled field appointments.
Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
