Business Area: Coal Transportation from MCL Talcher Coalfields and IB Valley Coalfields
Objective of the Role
To expand Rashmi Transport Pvt. Ltd.'s coal transportation business across MCL Talcher and IB Valley Coalfields by securing long-term contracts, strengthening industry relationships, maximizing fleet deployment, and ensuring sustainable revenue growth and profitability.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in coal transportation, mining logistics, bulk cargo movement, infrastructure logistics, or industrial transportation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Market Expansion
- Identify new coal transportation opportunities from MCL mines in Talcher and IB Valley regions.
- Develop business with power plants, sponge iron units, steel plants, cement industries, washeries, and other coal consumers.
- Secure transportation contracts through tenders, negotiations, and direct business development initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends, coal dispatch patterns, and market demand.
- Prepare business proposals, transportation solutions, and commercial offers.
2. Tendering & Contract Acquisition
- Track MCL, Coal India subsidiaries, industrial customers, and logistics-related tenders.
- Coordinate preparation and submission of tender documents.
- Participate in commercial negotiations and contract finalization.
- Ensure compliance with tender terms, statutory requirements, and contractual obligations.
3. Stakeholder & Liaison Management
- Maintain professional relationships with MCL officials, mine authorities, coal consumers, and government departments.
- Coordinate with mining authorities for smooth loading, dispatch, and transportation activities.
- Address customer concerns and ensure high service standards.
- Represent the company in business meetings and industry forums.
4. Transportation & Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate with operations teams for vehicle deployment and route planning.
- Ensure efficient movement of coal from mines to customer destinations.
- Monitor fleet utilization, trip performance, turnaround time, and operational efficiency.
- Resolve transportation bottlenecks and operational challenges.
5. Revenue & Profitability Management
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual transportation targets.
- Develop profitable pricing strategies and transportation solutions.
- Monitor operational costs and improve margins through efficient resource utilization.
- Prepare revenue forecasts and business growth plans.
6. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to MCL regulations, mining guidelines, and transportation laws.
- Monitor statutory compliance related to mining logistics and vehicle operations.
- Coordinate with legal and compliance teams regarding transportation agreements and permits.
- Minimize operational and commercial risks.
7. MIS, Reporting & Business Analytics
- Maintain records of contracts, transportation volumes, customer accounts, and revenue.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly business performance reports.
- Analyze transportation data to identify business growth opportunities.
- Present performance reviews and strategic recommendations to management.
8. Team Leadership
- Lead and supervise business development executives and field personnel.
- Allocate business targets and monitor performance.
- Conduct regular customer visits and market intelligence activities.
- Develop a high-performance business development team.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
