Responsibilities1. New Product Development & Project Management
- Lead end-to-end NPD activities from RFQ, feasibility study, design review, prototyping, APQP, PPAP, and SOP.
- Develop project plans, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Ensure on-time launch of new products and customer approvals.
- Monitor project risks and implement corrective actions.
2. Customer & Business Development Support
- Coordinate with OEM and Tier-1 customers for technical discussions and product approvals.
- Participate in RFQ reviews, cost estimation, and technical presentations.
- Support business growth through new product opportunities and innovation.
3. Engineering & Design Management
- Review product designs for manufacturability and cost optimization.
- Guide design, tooling, fixtures, gauges, and validation activities.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and automotive standards.
4. Quality & Process Validation
- Lead APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, and MSA activities.
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement and defect prevention initiatives.
5. Supplier & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with suppliers for tooling, raw materials, and development activities.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Purchase, SCM, and Sales teams.
- Ensure smooth transition from development to mass production.
6. Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor NPD engineers and project teams.
- Establish performance goals and training plans.
- Promote innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement culture.
