Job Description: Senior Academic Sales Consultant – AI Programs
Location: Kolkata (Preferred), Candidates from East India preferred. Candidates outside Kolkata must be willing to relocate.

About the Role: We are looking for highly driven and result-oriented Senior Academic Sales Consultants with strong experience in selling premium technology and upskilling programs. The ideal candidate should possess a proven track record in EdTech sales, especially in AI, Data Science, Full Stack Development, GenAI, or other future-tech programs. The role demands excellent counselling ability, strong objection handling skills, and a consultative sales approach to convert high-intent learners into successful enrollments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Counsel prospective learners regarding AI and technology-focused upskilling programs.
- Drive end-to-end admissions and revenue generation through consultative sales.
- Handle inbound and outbound leads while maintaining high conversion ratios.
- Understand learner requirements and recommend suitable programs accordingly.
- Achieve and exceed monthly admission and revenue targets consistently.
- Conduct follow-ups, nurture leads, and ensure smooth admission closure.
- Handle objections effectively and provide appropriate career guidance to candidates.
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline and CRM updates regularly.
- Coordinate with internal teams for seamless onboarding and learner experience.
- Stay updated with industry trends, AI technologies, and evolving EdTech market dynamics.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Minimum 3–6 years of hardcore EdTech sales experience.
- Proven experience in selling AI or technology-focused programs.
- Must have independently handled monthly admission targets.
- Demonstrated record of achieving 20+ admissions per month consistently.
- Strong counselling, objection handling, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Comfortable working in a high-pressure, target-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and consultative sales skills.
- Highly incentive-driven and performance-oriented personality.
- Immediate joiners or candidates serving notice period of up to 30 days preferred.
Preferred Background:
- Candidates from premium EdTech organizations such as: Scaler, Unacademy, UpGrad, Simplilearn, PW Skills, Masai School, Newton School, IG Institute, Similar premium EdTech organizations
- Preferred candidates should have prior experience in selling: AI Programs, Data Science Courses, Full Stack Development Courses, GenAI / Future Tech Programs, Premium Upskilling Products
