Job Summary
The Staff Nurse administers medications, monitors patient vital signs, maintains medical records, and assists physicians during clinical procedures. This role requires high-level clinical competency, a nurturing personality, and the ability to think critically in fast-paced environments.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct physical examinations and evaluate patient conditions upon admission and during clinical rounds.
- Vital Monitoring: Check and record physiological observations like blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and respiration.
- Medication Administration: Dispense prescribed oral medications, administer injections, and manage intravenous (IV) infusions accurately.
- Care Plan Execution: Develop, implement, and update individualised nursing care plans based on patient needs.
- Clinical Assistance: Assist doctors during diagnostic tests, physical exams, treatments, and medical emergencies.
- Meticulous Record Keeping: Update electronic health records (EHR) and document all treatments, symptoms, and changes in patient status.
- Patient & Family Education: Instruct patients and relatives on disease prevention, post-discharge care, and outpatient medical treatments.
- Ward & Hygiene Management: Ensure cleanliness, prepare sterile trays, manage stock/linen inventories, and handle shift handovers seamlessly.
- Staff Supervision: Oversee and guide nursing students, assistants, and auxiliary domestic staff within the ward.
Skills & Requirements
- Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Licensure: Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license from the relevant regional nursing board.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) is mandatory; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
- Clinical Skills: Proficiency in phlebotomy, wound care, and operating medical equipment.
- Soft Skills: High levels of empathy, outstanding communication, and sharp crisis-management capabilities.
- Flexibility: Ability to work long shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
