Key Responsibilities
- Operate conventional lathe (turning) machines safely and efficiently.
- Perform turning, facing, drilling, boring, threading, and taper turning operations.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Set up machines, select cutting tools, and maintain required dimensions and tolerances.
- Measure components using Vernier calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain production quality and achieve daily production targets.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Eligibility
- ITI Turner (Mandatory)
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred)
- 1–5 years of experience as a Turner in a manufacturing industry.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of conventional lathe machines.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and quality inspection.
- Understanding of machining tolerances and cutting parameters.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
