Job Summary
We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Executive responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of mechanical equipment, machinery, and utility systems. The role involves preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment inspections, maintenance planning, and coordination with production and other departments to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures and identify root causes of recurring problems.
- Maintain equipment such as pumps, compressors, gearboxes, conveyors, motors, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, valves, bearings, and production machinery.
- Prepare and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and checklists.
- Monitor equipment condition through regular inspections and identify potential failures.
- Coordinate with the Production team to plan maintenance activities and minimize production downtime.
- Supervise maintenance technicians, contractors, and external service personnel.
- Ensure proper lubrication, alignment, tightening, and replacement of mechanical components.
- Maintain records of breakdowns, maintenance activities, spare parts, and equipment history.
- Maintain adequate inventory of critical mechanical spares and coordinate with Stores/Purchase teams.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support installation, commissioning, modification, and relocation of machinery and equipment.
- Ensure maintenance work is carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly maintenance reports and communicate equipment status to management.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, reduce maintenance costs, and increase machine availability.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of pumps, bearings, gearboxes, compressors, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial machinery.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
- Basic knowledge of fabrication, welding, machining, alignment, and fitting activities.
- Familiarity with RCA, MTBF, MTTR, TPM, and 5S.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively under breakdown/emergency conditions.
- Good communication, coordination, and team-management skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and maintenance management software is preferred.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
