Job Title: CSSD Technician Trainee
Department: Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD)
Location: MAGJ Hospital, Mookkannoor
Reports To: CSSD In-charge / Supervisor
Job Summary:
The CSSD Technician Trainee at MAGJ Hospital will assist in the sterilization, disinfection, packing, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment. The role involves learning and adhering to strict infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and quality healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing surgical instruments
- Learn and support operation of sterilization equipment (Autoclave, ETO, etc.)
- Pack, label, and store sterile items as per hospital protocols
- Maintain sterilization records and documentation
- Ensure proper handling and storage of sterile supplies
- Follow infection control and safety standards
- Assist in issuing sterile items to OT and other departments
- Report any equipment issues to the supervisor
Eligibility Criteria:
- Diploma / Certificate in CSSD Technology or related field
- Freshers can apply
- Basic knowledge of sterilization and infection control preferred
