An "All-Rounder Operator" (Multitask Machine Operator) in furniture manufacturing is a highly versatile worker responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various woodworking and assembly machines. They are essential for managing workflow across different production lines and ensuring quality from raw material to finished product.
- Machine Operation: Operate a variety of production machinery—including panel saws, edgebanders, CNC routers, drills, and sanders—to cut, shape, and finish wood/board materials.
- Setup & Adjustment: Calibrate machines, adjust cutting depths, and change tooling based on production requirements and engineering drawings.
- Assembly: Join and assemble furniture components using pneumatic tools, clamps, screws, and adhesives.
- Quality Control: Inspect raw materials prior to processing and conduct dimensional and visual checks on finished goods to ensure zero defects.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform daily machine cleaning, lubrication, and minor troubleshooting to prevent production downtime.
- Inventory & Staging: Organize processed parts, manage hardware/materials, and maintain a clean and safe workspa
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA/local safety standards, wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and using lockout/tagout procedures
- Education: High School Diploma or ITI/Vocational training in Carpentry, Machinist Work, or related industrial trades.
- Experience: 2–5 years of proven experience operating machinery in a furniture manufacturing or heavy production environment.
- Soft Skills: Team player, strong problem-solving skills, and basic computer/tablet literacy for production logging
Pay: ₹9,228.16 - ₹37,780.48 per month
