Namma Ooru Foundation operates Micro Composting Centers to convert organic waste into manure/compost.
We are looking for passionate individuals who are keen to make a difference and to manage one of our Micro Composting Centers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process & Quality Control: Monitor and adjust windrow moisture, temperature, and oxygen levels to optimize decomposition and produce high-quality compost.
- Inspect incoming loads to prevent contamination from non-organic materials.
- Staff Leadership: Manage and schedule facility workers, heavy equipment operators, and laborers. Lead/conduct safety training, and evaluate performance.
- Equipment & Yard Maintenance: Oversee the operation of heavy machinery (e.g., shredding machines).
- Ensure preventive maintenance is completed and logged.
- Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce health and safety regulations, handle hazardous conditions appropriately, and ensure the facility operates within TNPCB permits.
- Inventory & Sales Operations: Manage stock levels of raw materials and finished products.
- Oversee sales transactions and assist commercial or residential customers with inquiries.
