Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing or production operations to ensure products are produced safely, efficiently, on time, and within quality standards. This role manages production staff, monitors workflow, coordinates with other departments, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities and workforce.
- Ensure production schedules and targets are achieved efficiently.
- Monitor product quality and compliance with company standards.
- Enforce workplace safety policies and procedures.
- Train, coach, and evaluate production employees.
- Manage shift schedules, attendance, and labor allocation.
- Identify production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality, warehouse, and planning teams.
- Maintain accurate production reports and documentation.
- Optimize productivity, reduce downtime, and minimize waste.
- Ensure proper use of machinery, equipment, and materials.
- Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (preferred).
- 3–7 years of experience in manufacturing/production operations.
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Knowledge of production processes, quality systems, and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/MRP systems.
- Ability to work in shifts and under pressure.
Pay: ₹25,318.71 - ₹30,093.72 per month
