The English Trainer is responsible for delivering high-quality Communicative English training to DDU-GKY candidates, enabling them to improve their speaking, listening, reading, writing, and workplace communication skills. The trainer shall ensure that students are industry-ready and capable of communicating confidently during interviews and at the workplace, while adhering to DDU-GKY guidelines and training standards.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Deliver Communicative English training as per the approved DDU-GKY curriculum and timetable.
- Prepare lesson plans, training materials, presentations, worksheets, and assessments.
- Develop students' English proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
- Conduct classroom activities such as role plays, group discussions, presentations, mock interviews, and public speaking exercises.
- Assess student learning through periodic tests, assignments, and practical evaluations.
- Maintain daily attendance, training records, lesson plans, assessment records, and other documentation required under DDU-GKY.
- Identify slow learners and provide remedial coaching and individual mentoring.
- Coordinate with the Centre Manager, MIS team, and other trainers to ensure smooth implementation of the training programme.
- Support students in resume preparation, interview skills, workplace etiquette, and employability skills.
- Ensure discipline, punctuality, and a positive learning environment in the classroom.
- Participate in internal reviews, inspections, audits, SRLM/MoRD monitoring visits, and quality assurance activities.
- Submit timely reports and maintain all records as required by the DDU-GKY project.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or any discipline with excellent English communication skills. A Master's degree is desirable.
- Certification in English language training or soft skills training is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in teaching English, soft skills, or communication skills.
- Experience in DDU-GKY, PMKVY, NSDC, or other skill development programmes is preferred.
Required Skills
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Strong presentation and classroom management skills.
- Ability to motivate and mentor candidates from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
- Proficiency in MS Office and digital learning tools.
- Good interpersonal, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of DDU-GKY guidelines and employability training will be an added advantage.
