About the Role
Medimode Pharmacy is looking for a qualified and responsible Store Incharge cum Pharmacist to support the day-to-day operations of our retail pharmacy.
The successful candidate will be responsible for prescription dispensing, customer assistance, inventory management, billing support, store operations, and coordination with the pharmacy team.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense medicines accurately against valid prescriptions and follow applicable pharmacy regulations.
- Provide customers with appropriate information regarding the use, storage, and precautions of medicines.
- Handle customer queries professionally and provide suitable assistance within the scope of pharmacy practice.
- Maintain required pharmacy records, bills, registers, and other documentation.
- Monitor medicine and product stock levels and coordinate purchase requirements.
- Check stock received from suppliers, including quantity, batch details, and expiry dates.
- Follow proper stock rotation practices, including FEFO (First Expiry, First Out).
- Monitor short-expiry and slow-moving products.
- Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory reconciliation.
- Ensure medicines and other products are stored appropriately.
- Operate pharmacy billing/POS software and maintain accurate transaction records.
- Coordinate daily activities of pharmacy assistants and other store staff.
- Support staff scheduling, task allocation, and smooth counter operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional pharmacy environment.
- Support the Store Manager/Management with routine operational activities when required.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- D.Pharm or B.Pharm from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the State Pharmacy Council is required.
- Previous experience in a retail pharmacy is preferred.
- Experience in pharmacy store operations or team coordination will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of pharmacy billing/POS software.
- Good knowledge of medicines, prescriptions, inventory handling, and retail pharmacy procedures.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work responsibly, accurately, and as part of a team.
Experience
2–5 years of relevant retail pharmacy experience preferred.
