Job Purpose
The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for managing and supervising all housekeeping operations to ensure that guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas and hotel facilities are maintained at the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety and presentation.
Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Housekeeping Operations
- Ensure all guest rooms, public areas, corridors, washrooms and back-of-house areas are clean and well maintained.
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas.
- Ensure rooms are ready on time for guest check-in.
- Maintain hotel cleanliness and presentation standards at all times.
- Coordinate room status with the Front Office Department.
2. Team Management
- Prepare duty rosters and allocate daily work to housekeeping staff.
- Supervise Room Attendants, Housekeeping Supervisors, Public Area Attendants and other team members.
- Conduct daily briefings and communicate departmental priorities.
- Monitor staff grooming, discipline, attendance and productivity.
- Train employees on cleaning standards, SOPs, hygiene, guest service and safety procedures.
3. Quality & Hygiene Control
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and take corrective action when required.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Monitor linen quality and ensure proper handling of soiled and clean linen.
- Ensure compliance with hotel SOPs and safety standards.
4. Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor housekeeping supplies, amenities, linen, uniforms and cleaning materials.
- Maintain proper stock levels and prevent unnecessary wastage.
- Prepare and submit departmental indents as per hotel procedures.
- Maintain records of breakages, damages, lost and found items and linen movement.
- Control departmental expenses and support cost-saving initiatives.
5. Coordination
- Coordinate with Front Office regarding room status, arrivals, departures, VIP rooms and guest requests.
- Coordinate with Maintenance for repair and maintenance issues in guest rooms and public areas.
- Coordinate with Laundry and other departments for smooth daily operations.
- Follow up on maintenance issues until completion.
6. Guest Satisfaction
- Ensure guest complaints related to cleanliness and housekeeping are handled promptly.
- Take immediate corrective action on service issues.
- Pay special attention to VIP rooms and special guest requirements.
- Ensure a comfortable, clean and pleasant experience for every guest.
7. Reporting & Administration
- Maintain daily housekeeping reports and checklists.
- Submit inventory and stock reports as required.
- Report major maintenance issues, damages, shortages and operational concerns to Management.
- Monitor departmental KRA/KPI performance and take action to achieve assigned targets.
- Participate in management meetings and implement agreed action plans.

- Guest room cleanliness and inspection scores.
- Room readiness as per check-in requirements.
- Guest complaints related to housekeeping.
- Public area cleanliness standards.
- Staff productivity and attendance.
- Linen and amenities cost control.
- Reduction in cleaning material wastage.
- Timely completion of deep-cleaning schedules.
- Completion of departmental checklists and reports.
- Staff training and SOP compliance.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience as an Executive Housekeeper or Housekeeping Manager in a Star hotel.
- Strong knowledge of hotel housekeeping operations and cleaning standards.
- Good leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to prepare duty rosters and manage manpower effectively.
- Knowledge of inventory control, linen management and cost control.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to handle guest complaints professionally.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
