Key Responsibilities
- Assist designers with collection development, mood boards, and design concepts.
- Conduct research on fashion trends, fabrics, colours, silhouettes, prints, and market trends.
- Assist in creating and updating technical sketches, design sheets, and product details.
- Support the team during sampling, fittings, and product development.
- Coordinate with vendors and sampling teams for design-related requirements.
- Assist with fabric, trim, embellishment, and garment sourcing.
- Help maintain design samples, swatches, references, and product records.
- Make design revisions based on feedback from senior designers.
- Assist in preparing presentations and design references for internal reviews.
- Stay updated on current fashion and consumer trends.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Well-versed in both menswear and womenswear, with a good understanding of their silhouettes, styling, construction, and current trends.
- Basic knowledge of fashion illustration, garment construction, fabrics, and silhouettes.
- Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or similar design software is preferred.
- Good understanding of colours, proportions, styling, and fashion aesthetics.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A portfolio or college design projects showcasing creativity and design skills is preferred.
