Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Engineer with hands-on experience in plastic injection molding. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure all parts meet customer specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
In-Process & Final Inspection: Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of injection-molded plastic parts during production and prior to dispatch.
Defect Identification: Identify and troubleshoot common plastic molding defects (such as sink marks, flash, short shots, warping, air traps, and weld lines) and report them immediately to the production team.
Precision Measurement: Utilize measuring instruments including Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Dial Indicators, and Profile Projectors/VMM.
Quality Documentation: Prepare and maintain daily inspection reports, First Piece Approval (FPA) sheets, Rejection Logs, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).
Root Cause Analysis: Participate in defect reduction initiatives using 7 QC Tools, 5-Why Analysis, and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
Incoming Inspection: Verify the quality of incoming raw materials (resins, masterbatches, and inserts) against specification sheets.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Polymer, Plastic Engineering, or CIPET certification.
Experience: 1 to 4 years of hands-on quality inspection experience in plastic injection molding.
Technical Skills:
In-depth understanding of plastic injection molding processes and defect troubleshooting.
Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and understanding GD&T symbols.
Practical knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, ISO 9001 standards, and basic quality tools.
Pay: ₹20,928.47 - ₹30,685.47 per month
