Horizon Lumora is looking for a creative and experienced Short-Form Video Editor to produce engaging YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels for Technology and Business audiences.
The candidate should understand strong opening hooks, fast-paced editing, viewer retention and visual storytelling.
WORK LOCATION – IMPORTANT
This is a full-time, work-from-office position in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
1. Employees will work 6 days per week. Hybrid and work-from-home options are not available.
2. Please apply only if you are comfortable working regularly from the office in Bengaluru for 6 days per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Turn scripts, voice-overs and raw footage into complete YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels in vertical 9:16 format.
- Create strong opening hooks and maintain engaging pacing throughout each video.
- Add captions, motion graphics, transitions, music, sound effects and supporting visuals.
- Find suitable stock footage, screenshots, images and graphics for Technology and Business topics.
- Edit videos to improve viewer retention while maintaining a consistent visual style.
- Follow feedback, complete revisions on time and work closely with the content team.
- Organise project files properly and follow copyright rules when using footage, music and images.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2 years of professional video-editing experience.
- Experience editing YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels or similar short-form content.
- A portfolio containing completed short-form videos is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, DaVinci Resolve or similar professional editing software.
- Good understanding of hooks, pacing, captions, colour correction, audio balancing, sound design and visual storytelling.
- Ability to select suitable visuals, follow feedback, manage files and complete work within deadlines.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience editing Technology, Business, Finance, Artificial Intelligence or documentary-style content.
- Experience creating motion graphics, animated captions and visual effects.
- Understanding of YouTube and Instagram audiences and video performance.
