Job Description
The Scrum Lead is a senior delivery and operational leadership role responsible for enabling high-performing agile execution across the Enterprise Commercial application product model organization. This leader manages a team of Scrum Masters and key delivery support roles including Performance, Testing and Budget Management.
The role partners closely with Product Line Owners, Technology Leaders, Architecture, Finance, and Business stakeholders to ensure delivery of application enhancements, transformation initiatives, operational stability, and continuous improvement outcomes.
The Scrum Lead serves as a member of the Enterprise Commercial Digital leadership team and is accountable for agile execution excellence, demand management, delivery forecasting accuracy, financial planning support, value tracking, portfolio management, governance, and the evolution of delivery practices, tools, and metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
Agile Delivery Leadership

Lead and develop a team of Scrum Masters supporting multiple application product teams.

Establish consistent agile delivery standards, governance, and execution practices across teams.

Ensure effective backlog management, sprint planning, release planning, and agile ceremonies.

Drive delivery accountability, transparency, and predictable execution across the portfolio.
-
Coach Scrum Masters and teams on agile maturity, and continuous improvement practices.

Remove organizational impediments impacting delivery, team velocity, or operational effectiveness.

Ensure alignment between product roadmaps, delivery priorities, and execution capacity.

Support portfolio management processes and be the single point of contact into broader ET and Commercial portfolio managers.
Product & Business Partnership

Partner with Product Line Owners and business stakeholders to deliver strategic application and transformation initiatives.

Support prioritization and sequencing of work aligned to business value and organizational objectives.

Facilitate alignment between product, technology, operations, and shared services teams.

Help drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Participate as an active member of the Enterprise Commercial Technology leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and organizational decisions.
Delivery Management & Governance

Oversee delivery health, milestone tracking, dependency management, and risk mitigation activities for the portfolio.

Ensure Scrum Masters maintain accurate project plans, backlog health, sprint metrics, and release readiness.

Establish and monitor KPIs related to delivery performance, throughput, quality, predictability, and value realization.

Lead portfolio-level agile governance and reporting routines.

Assist Sr Director and Product Line Managers to manage escalation resolution and cross-team coordination for complex initiatives.
Performance, Testing & Quality Oversight

Lead the Performance Analyst function responsible for tracking delivery value, metrics, KPIs, and operational reporting.

Ensure meaningful measurement of business outcomes, team performance, and transformation progress.

Provide leadership oversight to Testing and Quality Leads to ensure strong QA practices and release quality.

Promote quality engineering, automation, defect prevention, and continuous testing practices.

Drive accountability for production stability, defect reduction, and quality improvements.
Financial & Operational Management
-
Support financial forecasting, budget planning, and resource capacity management activities.

Provide oversight and quality checks to ensure accuracy of delivery forecasts, staffing plans, and financial reporting inputs.

Partner with finance and leadership teams to manage operational budgets and vendor/resource allocations.

Monitor demand intake and capacity planning to balance strategic initiatives and operational support work.

Help optimize delivery efficiency and cost effectiveness across the organization.
Process Improvement & Innovation

Design and implement new tools, templates, reporting mechanisms, and agile operating practices.

Identify opportunities to improve team efficiency, transparency, collaboration, and delivery predictability.

Drive adoption of agile best practices, delivery automation, and operational improvements.
Leadership Responsibilities

Build, mentor, and retain high-performing agile delivery teams.

Provide coaching, performance management, and career development for direct reports.

Establish clear goals, expectations, and accountability measures.

Promote collaboration and healthy team dynamics across product and technology teams.
-
Influence stakeholders at all organizational levels through strong communication and leadership presence.
