Department: Tool Room
Reports To: Head of Department
Work Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in mold design, preferably in rubber and
plastic component manufacturing.
Education: B.E. Mechanical Engineering / B. Tech / M. Tech / CIPET or Diploma
(Tool & Die)
Preferred Industry Pharma Packaging / Medical Device / Cosmetic Packaging (relevant
product experience mandatory).
Job Purpose To design, develop, and optimize high-precision rubber and plastic molds
using advanced CAD tools (Siemens NX), ensuring efficient, cost-effective,
and defect-free production in alignment with Bharat Rubber Works Pvt.
Ltd.’s quality, safety, and delivery standards.
Major Duties &
Responsibilities:
- Design new moulds for rubber and plastic components, CAD
software such as AutoCAD and UG NX (Siemens NX).
- Analyze product drawings and create innovative, production friendly mold designs.
- Generate detailed 2D and 3D models, assembly drawings, and Bill
of Materials (BOM).
- Apply DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for
Assembly) principles to optimize designs.
- Work closely with R&D, tool room, and production teams to
ensure mold designs are feasible and aligned with manufacturing
capabilities.
- Participate in mold trials, validation, and troubleshooting to fine tune designs based on real-world performance.
- Ensure all mold designs meet dimensional accuracy, performance,
and durability requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation, including revision history, change
notes, and project reports.
- Coordinate with vendors, toolmakers, and internal tool room
teams for fabrication, machining, and modification of molds.
- Monitor mold development progress to ensure adherence to
design, quality, and delivery timelines.
Required Skill Set: Strong proficiency in Siemens NX (UG NX).
- Thorough knowledge of rubber and plastic mold design principles.
- Experience in Medical Device, Pharma Packaging, or Cosmetic
Packaging molds (mandatory).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining, and tooling
standards.
- Understanding of quality systems and compliance requirements.
Communication: Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to cross-
functional teams.
- Effective coordination with R&D, Production, Quality, and
Vendors.
- Good written communication skills for documentation and reporting.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
