Designation: Maintenance Head – Rental Division (Industrial Sweeping Machines)
Location: Nadiad
Location & Travel Requirements: Pan India (Extensive Travel Required)
Reporting To: Business Head
Salary Range: 12 to 15 Lacs (The final compensation will be based on the candidate’s current CTC, aligned with industry benchmarks, and open to reasonable discussion based on experience and role fitment.)
Role Overview
The Maintenance Head will be responsible for ensuring maximum uptime, operational efficiency, and lifecycle management of mechanized sweeping machines deployed across multiple locations in India. The role involves leading field service teams, managing breakdowns, overseeing refurbishment, and driving continuous improvement in machine performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Fleet Maintenance & Service Operations
· Ensure timely and effective maintenance of all deployed machines through a network of technicians.
· Monitor machine uptime and ensure adherence to service schedules and preventive maintenance plans.
· Coordinate with site teams to ensure uninterrupted operations.
2. Breakdown Management & Troubleshooting
· Lead troubleshooting of major and recurring breakdowns across sites.
· Provide technical guidance to field teams for quick resolution.
· Establish escalation protocols for critical failures.
3. Team Management (Technicians & Supervisors)
· Recruit, train, and deploy skilled technicians across regions.
· Develop technical capabilities of field teams through structured training programs.
· Manage supervisors through regular audits, performance reviews, and feedback mechanisms.
4. In-house Refurbishment & Repairs
· Oversee refurbishment and repair of machines returned from sites.
· Ensure machines are restored to optimal working condition and redeployed quickly.
· Maintain readiness of standby machines for deployment.
5. Process & Checklist Development
· Develop and implement standardized checklists for:
· Onsite machine inspections
· Machine return inspections
· Repair and refurbishment processes
· Ensure strict adherence to SOPs across all locations.
6. Breakdown Analysis & Continuous Improvement
· Analyze frequent breakdowns and identify root causes.
· Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
· Drive improvements in machine reliability and performance.
7. Spare Parts Management
· Manage procurement, inventory, and distribution of spares for both onsite and workshop requirements.
· Optimize spare usage and control costs.
· Ensure critical spares availability to minimize downtime.
8. Audit & Compliance
· Conduct periodic site visits for audit of machines, technicians, and supervisors.
· Ensure compliance with maintenance standards and operational guidelines.
· Submit audit reports with actionable insights.
9. Coordination & Reporting
· Coordinate with operations, logistics, and procurement teams.
· Prepare MIS reports on:
· Machine uptime/downtime
· Breakdown trends
· Spare consumption
· Technician performance

Required Skills & Competencies
· Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems (preferably in heavy equipment / sweeping machines).
· Proven experience in managing distributed service teams.
· Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
· Leadership and team development capabilities.
· Strong planning, coordination, and execution skills.
· Willingness to travel extensively.
Experience & Qualification
· Diploma / B.E. in Automobile / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field.
· 8–15 years of experience in maintenance/service operations (preferably in equipment rental, construction machinery, or municipal equipment).
