Job Title: MEP Design Engineer & Trainer Role Overview
We are looking for a versatile MEP Engineer to join our faculty on a full-time or contractual basis. In this role, you will be the bridge between academic theory and industrial application. You will be responsible for delivering professional training to engineering students across various colleges, focusing on the design and coordination of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems using BIM/Revit workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Instructional Leadership: Deliver high-impact offline training modules (Bootcamps, Workshops, and Semester-Integrated courses) at various engineering campuses.
- Curriculum Development: Update and refine the MEP training curriculum to align with current PIP (Process Industry Practices) and global BIM standards.
- Technical Mentorship: Guide students through the fundamentals of HVAC, Piping, Electrical Circuiting, and Firefighting systems.
- Hands-on Training: Lead students in creating "Clash-Free" designs using Autodesk Revit MEP and conducting coordination reports in Navisworks.
- Live Project Supervision: Oversee student capstone projects, ensuring they meet professional documentation and detailing standards.
Technical Skills Required
- Software Mastery: Expert proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks. Familiarity with HAP (Hourly Analysis Program) or electrical load calculation tools is a plus.
- Design Knowledge: Deep understanding of MEP system design for Industrial (Power/Steel/Oil & Gas) and Residential sectors.
- BIM Workflow: Experience in BIM Levels and LOD (Level of Development) requirements.
- Coordination: Ability to demonstrate interdisciplinary coordination between Structural, Architectural, and MEP services.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 3–6 years of industry experience in MEP Design or BIM Coordination. Previous experience in corporate training or academia is highly preferred.
- Communication: Exceptional public speaking skills and the ability to simplify complex engineering concepts for students.
- Language: Professional proficiency in English and Hindi (Bengali is an added advantage for West Bengal operations).
