About the Role
Luzion Lighting Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a QC Engineer – LED Lighting to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of LED lighting products throughout the manufacturing and testing process.
The candidate will be responsible for incoming material inspection, in-process quality control, final product inspection, testing, documentation, and quality improvement of LED luminaires and related components.
The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of LED lighting products, electrical testing, quality standards, production processes, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities1. Incoming Material Quality Inspection
- Inspect incoming raw materials and components used in LED lighting products.
- Check the quality of:
- LED modules / LED chips
- LED drivers
- PCBs
- Aluminium profiles and housings
- Lenses and diffusers
- Connectors and wires
- Optical components
- SMPS / power supplies
- Other electrical and mechanical components
- Verify materials against approved specifications, drawings, samples, and purchase requirements.
- Identify and report defective or non-conforming materials.
2. In-Process Quality Control
- Monitor quality at different stages of the LED manufacturing and assembly process.
- Inspect:
- PCB assembly
- LED module installation
- Driver wiring
- Soldering and connections
- Mechanical assembly
- Fixture finishing
- Cable termination
- Sealing and waterproofing
- Ensure products are manufactured according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Identify manufacturing defects and coordinate with the production team for corrective action.
3. Final Product Inspection & Testing
- Conduct final inspection of completed LED lighting products.
- Check:
- Electrical performance
- Power consumption
- Voltage and current
- Wattage
- CCT
- Light output
- Colour consistency
- Dimming performance
- Physical appearance
- Dimensions
- IP protection requirements, where applicable
- Ensure products meet approved quality parameters before dispatch.
4. LED Lighting Testing
Perform or coordinate relevant electrical and photometric testing, including:
- Voltage and current testing
- Wattage and power factor testing
- Insulation resistance testing
- Hi-Pot testing
- Earth continuity testing
- Burn-in / ageing tests
- LED temperature monitoring
- Driver performance testing
- CCT and colour consistency checks
- Lumen / light output verification
- Beam angle verification
- Dimming and control testing
- IP testing, where applicable
5. Quality Documentation
Maintain proper quality records, including:
- Incoming Inspection Reports
- In-Process Inspection Reports
- Final Inspection Reports
- Test Reports
- Non-Conformance Reports (NCR)
- Rejection Reports
- Corrective Action Reports
- Quality Checklists
- Calibration Records
- Product Inspection Records
Ensure all QC documentation is properly maintained and updated.
6. Defect Identification & Troubleshooting
- Identify electrical, mechanical, optical, and assembly-related defects.
- Investigate the root cause of recurring product failures.
- Coordinate with Production, R&D, Design, Purchase, and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions.
7. Supplier Quality Control
- Support the inspection and evaluation of suppliers and incoming components.
- Report recurring material quality issues to the Purchase and Supplier Management teams.
- Assist in supplier corrective action processes.
- Ensure critical components meet approved specifications before entering production.
8. Production & Dispatch Quality
- Conduct random and batch-wise inspections during production.
- Ensure finished products meet Luzion's approved quality standards.
- Approve or reject products based on inspection results.
- Ensure only approved products are released for packing and dispatch.
9. Calibration & Testing Equipment
- Maintain records of testing and measuring equipment.
- Ensure QC instruments are properly calibrated.
- Monitor calibration schedules.
- Ensure testing equipment is used correctly and safely.

The candidate should have a good understanding of:
- LED lighting products and manufacturing

Quality Standards & Compliance
Knowledge of relevant LED lighting and electrical quality standards will be preferred.

- EMC-related requirements
- IP protection standards
- Electrical safety requirements
will be an advantage.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should have:
- Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in quality control, preferably in LED lighting, electrical products, electronics, or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic testing.
- Good understanding of LED lighting components and manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot product defects.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work closely with production and engineering teams.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
