Job Description
Position: System Administrator
Role Purpose
The System Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, operating systems, user accounts, and data backup systems. The role ensures maximum uptime, system performance, cybersecurity compliance, and technical support for end users while supporting applications.
System Administration
- · Install, configure, and maintain servers.
- · Monitor server performance, storage utilization
- · Perform regular system updates, patches, and firmware upgrades.
- · Manage Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and user permissions.
- · Configure and maintain virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V).
- · Network Management
- · Monitor and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, routers, switches, and firewalls.
- · Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues.
- · Coordinate with Internet Service Providers and network vendors.
- · Ensure network availability and optimal performance.
Security & Compliance
- · Implement cybersecurity best practices, antivirus, endpoint protection, and firewall policies.
- · Monitor security logs and respond to potential threats or vulnerabilities.
- · Manage access controls and enforce password and security policies.
- · Ensure compliance with organizational IT security standards and applicable healthcare regulations.
- · Backup & Disaster Recovery
- · Perform regular system and database backups.
- · Test backup restoration procedures periodically.
- · Maintain disaster recovery documentation and recovery plans.
- · Ensure business continuity through reliable backup strategies.
User Support
- · Provide Level 2/Level 3 technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- · Create and manage user accounts, email accounts, and access permissions.
- · Coordinate with vendors for issue resolution and system maintenance.
- · Infrastructure Maintenance
- · Monitor data center equipment, UPS systems, storage devices, and server room environment.
- · Maintain IT asset inventory and software licensing records.
- · Plan and execute preventive maintenance activities.
- · Assist in infrastructure upgrades and IT projects.
Documentation
- · Maintain system configurations, network diagrams, and SOPs.
- · Document incidents, changes, and resolutions.
- · Prepare periodic reports on system performance, uptime, backups, and security.
Qualifications & Experience
- · Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified, VMware VCP, Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Server+, Linux certifications, or equivalent are preferred.
- 3–4 years of experience in System Administration.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
