An MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspection) Machine Operator is responsible for operating NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) equipment to detect surface and near-surface defects in ferromagnetic materials (like steel). They calibrate machines, apply magnetic particles, interpret visual results, and ensure structural compliance prior to shipping. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]Core Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation: Set up, calibrate, and operate MPI benches and demagnetization equipment.
- Testing: Magnetize parts and apply magnetic particle baths or powders (often fluorescent) under UV light to reveal cracks, inclusions, or flaws.
- Defect Recognition: Visually inspect tested components to identify and segregate defective materials.
- Quality Documentation: Record inspection results, maintain daily activity logs, and create Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) compliance reports.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of testing machinery to prevent malfunctions.
Pay: ₹10,500.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
