Job Summary
Coherent Pixel Systems is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer with strong expertise in report development and data visualization. This role is focused on Power BI development, while deployments are handled by a separate team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with Snowflake and SQL, along with excellent query-writing skills to build scalable and insightful BI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Create robust data models, DAX measures, and Power Query transformations.
- Develop optimized SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from Snowflake and other data sources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for business improvement.
- Optimize Power BI reports for performance, usability, and scalability.
- Enable self-service analytics by developing intuitive and user-friendly dashboards.
- Follow data visualization best practices to ensure high-quality reporting.
Required Skills
- 6–9 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development.
- Strong expertise in Power BI, including:
- DAX
- Power Query
- Data Modeling
- Report Performance Optimization
- Excellent SQL query writing and optimization skills.
- Experience working with Snowflake as a data platform.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, business analytics, and visualization best practices.
- Proven experience delivering BI solutions that support self-service analytics.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
