Staff Nurse – Job Description
A Staff Nurse is responsible for providing quality nursing care to patients, assisting doctors during treatment and procedures, monitoring patient conditions, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout their hospital stay.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients’ health condition
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation
- Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and emergencies
- Monitor vital signs and report any abnormal findings
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment and recovery
- Maintain infection control and safety protocols
- Coordinate with doctors, physiotherapists, and other departments
- Ensure proper handling of medical equipment and supplies
- Respond promptly to emergencies and code situations
- Maintain patient dignity, confidentiality, and compassionate care

Qualification
- GNM / B.Sc Nursing
- Valid Nursing Council Registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
- ICU/OT/Emergency experience preferred (if applicable)

Duties of a Staff Nurse

- Freshers or experienced nurses can apply
- Preference for candidates with hospital experience
