We are seeking a results-driven Area Sales Manager to oversee sales operations within an assigned territory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing distributor and retailer relationships, achieving sales targets, and expanding market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve territory sales targets.
- Manage and grow relationships with distributors, dealers, retailers, and key accounts.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market coverage.
- Lead, motivate, and support the sales team to maximize performance.
- Conduct regular market visits and review sales activities.
- Track sales performance, prepare reports, and provide business insights.
- Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain healthy customer relationships.
- Coordinate with marketing and supply chain teams to ensure product availability and effective promotional activities.
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- 2–5+ years of experience in sales, preferably in FMCG, retail, logistics, telecom, or related industries.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.
- Ability to analyze sales data and make strategic decisions.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
