Senior Product Validation Engineer – Aprisa

Position Overview
Join the Aprisa Product Validation Engineering team and take on a leadership role in qualifying one of the industry's most advanced digital implementation platforms. You'll work across the complete backend design flow to validate and benchmark Aprisa features, ensuring functional correctness, performance, and quality of results for leading semiconductor companies. This is an opportunity to grow as a technical expert in digital physical design while collaborating with R&D, Product Engineering, and Customer Support teams globally. You'll influence product quality and drive innovation in advanced-node semiconductor design.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate Aprisa functionality across the complete digital implementation flow, including floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, timing closure, power optimization, and signoff convergence
- Develop and implement comprehensive validation plans for new tool features, technology nodes, and customer-reported issues
- Build and maintain automated regression environments for product qualification and continuous testing
- Analyze quality of results differences, identify root causes, and collaborate with R&D teams to verify product fixes
- Validate Aprisa on advanced process technologies including FinFET and Gate-All-Around nodes
- Benchmark Aprisa against internal reference designs and customer workloads to ensure competitive performance
- Collaborate with Application Engineering and Customer Support teams to understand real-world design challenges and incorporate them into validation workflows
- Contribute to continuous improvement of validation methodologies, automation frameworks, and testing infrastructure
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Microelectronics, VLSI Design, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Experience in physical design, product validation, backend implementation, timing closure, EDA tool development, or application engineering
- Strong understanding of the digital ASIC implementation flow and physical design concepts
- Working knowledge of static timing analysis, timing optimization, power analysis and optimization, and advanced process technologies
- Proficiency in scripting languages: Tcl, Perl, Python, or Shell scripting
- Experience creating automation, regression, and benchmarking environments
- Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills
Preferred:
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard EDA tools such as Aprisa, Innovus, ICC2, PrimeTime, or Calibre
- Experience developing automated validation frameworks and regression systems
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques applied to physical design
- Familiarity with version control systems and software development workflows
Technical Competencies
- Strong Linux/Unix working experience
- Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, design rules, and physical effects impacting implementation quality
- Ability to work with floorplanning, placement, CTS, routing, physical verification, and timing closure workflows
