Position Summary
The Assistant Sales Manager supports the Director of Sales in driving revenue growth by developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, and maximizing hotel occupancy and banquet revenues. The role is responsible for corporate account management, sales calls, business development, contract negotiations, and ensuring the achievement of individual and departmental sales targets while upholding the hotel's service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Generate new business opportunities through proactive sales calls, networking, and market research.
- Identify and develop corporate, travel trade, MICE, government, and leisure accounts.
- Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients to maximize repeat business.
- Conduct site inspections and hotel presentations for prospective clients.
- Prepare and negotiate corporate contracts and rate agreements in line with hotel policies.
- Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
Client Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers and travel partners.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries, proposals, and requests for quotations.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through timely follow-up and personalized service.
- Handle client concerns professionally and coordinate with operational departments for effective resolution.
Revenue Generation
- Promote guest rooms, banquet facilities, meeting spaces, and food & beverage outlets.
- Collaborate with Revenue Management to optimize pricing strategies and business mix.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer requirements to identify new revenue opportunities.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and business reports.
Coordination & Administration
- Coordinate with Front Office, Reservations, Banquets, Finance, and Operations to ensure seamless execution of business.
- Maintain updated client records, contracts, and sales activities in the CRM system.
- Prepare weekly sales reports, call reports, and market intelligence reports.
- Participate in sales meetings, promotional events, trade fairs, and networking activities.
Brand Standards & Compliance
- Represent the hotel professionally at all times.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, brand standards, and ethical business practices.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information and commercial agreements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Hotel management qualification preferred.
Experience
- 4–5 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry.
- Minimum 1–2 years in a Sales Executive or equivalent role.
- Experience handling corporate, MICE, or travel trade accounts is preferred.
- Prior experience with Marriott, Fern Hotels, or other branded hotels will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
