The MEP Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end operation, maintenance, and optimisation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems across the university campus. The role ensures uninterrupted services, compliance with safety standards, energy efficiency, and high-quality infrastructure support for academic and residential facilities.
Responsibilities:

Operations & Maintenance: Manage day-to-day operations and maintenance of all MEP systems including Electrical (HT/LT panels, Transformers, DG Sets, UPS), HVAC (VRFs AHUs, Ventilation), Plumbing (WTP, STP-MBR, RO, Pumps), Fire Protection & Detection systems. Ensure 100% uptime of all critical systems (Power, Water, DG, Lifts etc.).

Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules. Monitor equipment performance, carry out timely troubleshooting, root cause analysis and corrective actions to minimize downtime.

Team & Vendor Management: Lead and manage a team of technicians and supervisors. Handle AMC/service contracts, supervise vendors, ensure SLA compliance, and validate bills & service reports.

Compliance & Safety: Ensure full compliance with statutory norms (CEIG, KSPCB, Fire, Lift, Labour laws etc.). Conduct regular safety audits and maintain all required documentation & certifications.

Stakeholder Management: Co-ordinate with different teams for follow up and closure.

Documentation & Reporting: Ensure that the team is maintaining accurate maintenance logs, asset registers, and all the records. Ensure team is preparing the timely MIS reports on system performance, downtime, and energy usage.
