Manager - Customer Service (Freight Forwarding)
Min 6 TO 8 years of Freight Forwarding Customer Service Experience is required

1. Customer Communication
· Act as the main contact person for customers.
· Respond to customer queries regarding shipment status, documentation, schedules, and charges.
· Provide regular shipment updates to customers.
2. Shipment Coordination
· Coordinate with operations, documentation, transporters, and warehouses.
· Arrange pickup and delivery of cargo.
· Monitor shipment movement from origin to destination.
3. Documentation Handling
· Check and process shipping documents like:
· Commercial Invoice
· Packing List
· Bill of Lading / Air Waybill
· Shipping Bill
· Delivery Order
· Ensure documents are correct and submitted on time.
4. Booking & Planning
· Make cargo booking with Mumbai team for air /sea export shipment
· Plan shipment according to customer timelines and vessel/flight schedules.
· Follow up for space confirmation and equipment availability.
5. Issue Handling
· Resolve issues such as:
· Shipment delays
· Documentation errors
· Customs clearance problems
· Missing cargo or damages
· Communicate solutions to customers quickly.
6. Coordination with Vendors
· Follow up with:
· Customs brokers
· Transporters
· Warehouses
7. Billing & Costing Support
· Verify freight charges and local charges.
· Coordinate with accounts for invoice generation.
· Ensure profitability as per quotation.
8. Service Quality & Customer Satisfaction
· Maintain strong relationships with customers.
· Ensure shipments are handled smoothly and professionally.
· Work to retain customers and support the sales team.
Skills Required
· Good communication skills
· Knowledge of import/export process in freight industries
· Basic understanding of customs clearance
· Ability to handle multiple shipments at the same time
· Problem-solving and coordination skills
