Job Summary:
The Lab Technician is responsible for collecting samples, performing laboratory tests, maintaining lab equipment, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of results to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect blood, urine, and other body fluid samples.
- Perform routine laboratory tests (Hematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Serology, etc.).
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Prepare samples and reagents for testing.
- Maintain accurate records of test results.
- Ensure proper labeling and safe handling of specimens.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols.
- Assist doctors and pathologists with test procedures.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness and stock inventory.
- Ensure quality control and calibration of machines.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma / Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT / BMLT).
- Valid registration (if required by state regulations).
- Minimum 1–2 years of hospital lab experience (preferred).
- Knowledge of lab equipment and testing procedures.
Skills Required:
