Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Hospital Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, ensuring safe and effective drug therapy, maintaining pharmacy inventory, and supporting patient care in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately based on prescriptions and physician orders.
- Review prescriptions for dosage, drug interactions, contraindications, and allergies.
- Provide medication counseling to patients and attendants.
- Maintain proper storage and handling of medicines as per regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor and manage pharmacy inventory, stock levels, and expiry dates.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication requirements.
- Ensure compliance with hospital pharmacy policies, NABH standards, and statutory regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of dispensing, controlled drugs, and inventory transactions.
- Participate in medication safety initiatives and quality improvement programs.
- Handle emergency medication requirements and support clinical departments as needed.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology and medication management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing.
- Knowledge of hospital pharmacy software and inventory management systems.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a multi-specialty or corporate hospital.
- Knowledge of NABH standards and pharmacy regulations.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
