Job Description – School IT Operations & Technical Support Lead
Department: Information Technology – School Operations
Reporting To: IT Head / Director – Technology
Job Summary:
The School IT Operations & Technical Support Lead is responsible for centralized IT operations across multiple school branches, managing school IT administrators, establishing and enforcing SOPs, conducting technical training, and ensuring uninterrupted IT services aligned with ITIL best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Operations:
- Lead, mentor, and manage 16+ School IT Administrators.
- Act as the central control point for all school IT operations.
- Coordinate with Zonal Managers, Principals, and Management.
SOP Development & Implementation:
- Create, document, and enforce IT SOPs across schools.
- Conduct audits and continuous compliance monitoring.
Training & Knowledge Management:
- Conduct regular technical training programs for IT admins.
- Maintain SOPs, documentation, and skill development records.
Infrastructure & Asset Management:
- Manage Computer Labs, Classroom IT (Touch Panels, IWB, TVs), CCTV systems, Laptops, UPS, Biometric systems, and Network infrastructure.
Microsoft & Automation:
- Administer Microsoft 365 / Office 365.
- Manage Microsoft Intune device policies and compliance.
- Create and maintain PowerShell automation scripts.
Networking & Security:
- Design, monitor, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi networks.
- Ensure network uptime, performance, and security.
Website & Domain Management:
- Manage school websites, hosting platforms, domains, DNS, and SSL certificates.
ITIL & Service Management:
- Implement ITIL-aligned Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
- Ensure SLA-driven support delivery.
Vendor Management:
- Manage vendors, quotations, AMC contracts, and SLA adherence.
Reporting & Governance:
- Prepare weekly/monthly IT reports, dashboards, and audit documentation.
Travel Readiness:
- Willingness to travel frequently across operational regions including:
- – Bengaluru / Karnataka– Andhra Pradesh– Tamil NaduLanguage Proficiency:
- Multilingual communication skills for effective coordination:
- – English (Mandatory)– Kannada– Telugu– Tamil– HindiQualifications & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT / Computer Science or equivalent.
- ITIL Foundation Certification (Mandatory / Preferred).
- Microsoft Certifications – Preferred.
Experience:
- 7–12 years of IT experience with multi-branch operations.
- 3–5 years in a leadership or supervisory IT role.
Pay: ₹300,000.17 - ₹500,000.43 per year
